Paradox M, EVO and Magellan questions
The product family is selected from the property, risk profile, expansion needs, wiring and user experience—not from a pre-packed kit.
What is the difference between Paradox M System, EVO and Magellan?
M System is the newer connected platform centred on M25. EVO is designed for high-capacity, multi-partition and access-integrated projects. Magellan is a wireless-focused family for residential and light-commercial systems. MSSCO confirms the best architecture after assessing the site.
Are EVO and Magellan still available?
Paradox continues to list EVO and Magellan product families and documents on its official product centre. Individual models, radio versions and stock can vary by region, so MSSCO verifies Canadian distribution and compatibility before quoting.
Can products from different Paradox families be mixed?
Only where Paradox explicitly documents compatibility. Similar-looking devices are not automatically interchangeable. Panel generation, bus type, firmware and wireless frequency must all be checked before equipment is specified.
Which Paradox family is best for a new installation?
M System is often the starting point for a new connected design, EVO suits larger or access-control-heavy projects, and Magellan remains relevant when a compatible wireless architecture is preferred. The final recommendation depends on the property and required functions.
Does MSSCO install and service Paradox systems in Toronto and the GTA?
Yes. MSSCO provides assessment, system design, installation, programming, expansion and user handover for compatible Paradox solutions across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
Choose the architecture before choosing the hardware
Tell us about the property, existing wiring, number of users, monitoring needs, access-control doors and difficult coverage areas. MSSCO will compare M System, EVO and Magellan and prepare a compatible Paradox design.
